World Hydrogen Congress Pre-event Webinar

Webinar: Advancing the Hydrogen Project Pipeline: Can Slow and Steady FIDs Win the Race to Net-Zero?

By the end of last year, of the 1400+ hydrogen projects in the global pipeline, only 7% of their investments had reached final investment decision (FID). Why is there such a lag in projects reaching this crucial stage? If investments continue at this slow pace, can ambitious hydrogen production and emissions reduction targets be achieved? Identifying the current bottlenecks in projects meeting FID, and understanding what can be done to accelerate uptake is now a critical for our transition to net-zero emissions.

Held ahead of World Hydrogen Week (30 Sept - 4 Oct, Copenhagen), this webinar “Advancing the Hydrogen Project Pipeline: Can Slow & Steady FIDs Win the Race to Net-Zero?” will address key topics:

  • Identifying the main bottlenecks preventing hydrogen projects from reaching FID

  • Revealing the most effective strategies to achieve FID

  • Understanding investors’ FID criteria and advice to accelerate uptake

  • Debating the impact of current and future FID trends on emissions reduction goals
