World Hydrogen UK

WHL website Image UK.png

In 2020, the UK’s Hydrogen Strategy Now campaign saw private businesses committing to invest £1.5bn into clean hydrogen projects for the country to urge the government to act. Since then, confirmation that a national hydrogen strategy would be published before COP26 was announced. With ambitions to be a global leader in hydrogen development evidenced in its commitment to a £100m low-carbon hydrogen fund, the UK has significant commercial opportunities for hydrogen production and investment.

This one-day conference will explore the progress of leading hydrogen consortium projects such as HyNet, as well as shining light on new emerging business opportunities and innovations. Learn from British policymakers, regulators, grid operators, project developers, financiers and technology manufacturers to discover the key priorities, challenges and ambitions of this emerging hydrogen economy.

Platinum Sponsors

Black & Veatch

A zero-carbon fuel that emits only water, hydrogen’s role in the drive for sustainability can be accelerated by using or adapting significant parts of existing infrastructure to employ hydrogen as a fuel source. This substitution effect means Black & Veatch is already positioned for and delivering progress today across green hydrogen for power generation and storage, advanced transportation and fuel-cell technology, and as a feedstock for green chemicals, as well as the processing of blue hydrogen with carbon capture technology.

Johnson Matthey

Johnson Matthey is a global leader in science that enables a cleaner and healthier world. With over 200 years of sustained commitment to innovation and technological breakthroughs, our science has a global impact in areas such as low emission transport, pharmaceuticals, chemical processing and making the most efficient use of the planet’s natural resources.
